Pompeii

Pompeii is the city that time forgot. Buried thousands of years ago by a volcanic explosion, this highly sophisticated society is a prime example of the advanced lifestyle of the Romans. They incorporated crosswalks, indoor plumping, public drinking fountains, and open government plazas into their daily life.

The whole time I was in Pompeii, I felt I was spying on a city that should still be functioning. I could imagine people going to the market, walking through the city plaza, and taking in a drama at the amphitheater. I hope you enjoy these moments from a city trapped in time.
